“Doodles” is a brand new Executive Lodge for the 2023 season.
Situated at Bridlington Links golf course at Sewerby https://www.pure-leisure.co.uk/parks/yorkshire/bridlington-links/golf// a mile north of Bridlington.
If you’re looking for peace and quiet or a base for your golfing challenges, this family owned lodge is the place for you. From the moment you turn onto the private drive through the golf course, you enter a different world. You catch glimpses of the sea as you wander through beautifully maintained landscapes. The lodge is situated in a sunny hollow surrounded by woods. Deer are regular visitors (This photo was taken on our balcony) and we are next door to Sewerby Hall, a stunning country house with a small zoo, playground and café. (Zoo is seasonal the café is open all year round)
Accommodation Facilities
Doodles Lodge is brand new for 2023 and offers spacious accommodation for up to four people.
The king-size bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a walk in shower. The second bedroom has full size single beds with plenty of storage space all round.
The main bathroom has a shower. The living area is open plan, with huge windows to appreciate the open views. French doors open on to the sunny deck, with outdoor furniture and al fresco eating.
We have WI-FI , TV’s in the lounge and main bedroom with Netflix & Discovery + , a Bluetooth Bose speaker , PlayStation 4 with Sky Go (movies & sport) and a selection of games (we also have a selection of traditional / board games).
The well-equipped kitchen has a washing machine and dishwasher in addition to the large fridge/freezer. microwave, toaster, kettle & Krupps Nespresso coffee machine (a few pods are included to get you going).
A welcome pack is included for you and your fur babies when applicable.
All bedding and towels are provided.
Dogs are welcome (1 large or 2 small to mid-sized) and are free to roam the decking area but must be on leads at all times whilst out and about the park.

# The Lodge is located close to a small pond that is full of goldfish.

It’s a fifteen-minute walk to the beach steps, you can wander through the gardens of Sewerby Hall https://www.sewerbyhall.co.uk/?Sewerby%20Hall%20&%20Gardens%20website you can take a different path every day. Also within walking distance is Bondville model village https://bondvillemodelvillage.com/. The centre of Sewerby itself has an excellent restaurant (Dog friendly), The Old Forge https://theoldforgesewerby.co.uk/ and a large sea-view pub, The Ship (also dog friendly) https://www.shipinnsewerby.co.uk/ serving a good range of food, beers, wines. Both are perfect stop-offs on your way to and from the ramp access to the beach and the end of North Marine Drive, approximately 35 minutes walk from Doodles Lodge.
Walking from the lodge is incredible. Dane’s Dyke ( head to the coastal path and turn left) - http://www.danesdyke.com/ is a 148-acre nature reserve which you pass on your cliff top walk to Flamborough lighthouse, where there is an excellent café to refresh yourself before your trip home.
Flamborough Village https://www.yorkshire.com/places/yorkshire-coast/flamborough/ has numerous pubs, fish and chips, take away, shops and an excellent restaurant.
Bridlington
Of course, you can drive to Bridlington seafront, less than ten minutes away. Alternatively, the land train -https://www.bridlington.co.uk/attractions/land-train-bridlington// (seasonal), runs from Sewerby Hall to the centre of Bridlington, stopping at the seafront leisure centre - https://www.discoveryorkshirecoast.com/discover/things-to-do/east-riding-leisure-bridlington-p1284621/ if you prefer to swim indoors instead of in the sea. The harbour in the centre of Bridlington - http://www.bridlingtonharbour.com/ has the largest lobster fleet in Europe and offers speedboat and pirate ship rides as well as fishing trips. The Yorkshire Belle https://www.yorkshire-belle.co.uk/ was built in1947 and offers pleasure cruises to watch the seabird and puffin colonies at Flamborough Head and Bempton Cliffs, a renowned RSPB reserve.
Bridlington centre offers a range of independent retailers and chain stores, in addition to our very own department store, Boyes. There are large supermarkets on the outskirts of Bridlington and a good-sized Co-Op in Flamborough, a must-see village just a couple of miles along the headland.
There is a street market on a Wednesday and Saturday in the centre of Bridlington.
